Law Firm Overview
Personalized service for businesses and individual clients.
Attorney Robert D. Hemphill has been serving businesses and individual clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties for over thirty years. Clients benefit from dealing directly with an experienced practitioner working in a cost-effective, small firm structure. He is assisted by Ms. Karen Taiariol, a legal assistant with over twenty years experience. The firm maintains “in-house” access to tools for quality representation, including Westlaw online legal and public records research and related computer applications, e-filing capability with the U.S. District Courts, and many state courts, and a traditional law library.
Mr. Hemphill’s practice focuses on litigation (business, real estate and municipal issues), business formations (corporations, limited liability company, limited partnerships, etc.), business and contract law, municipal law and wills, estate planning and probate. Litigation matters the firm has handled include, but are not limited to, collections on accounts, negotiable instruments and promissory notes, breach of contract, enforcement or defense of non-compete clauses and other employment disputes, trade secrets, prosecution or defense of deceptive trade practice claims, premises liability, nuisance abatement, business torts ( negligent misrepresentation, fraud, business disparagement, tortuous interference with business contracts and relationships) and evictions involving commercial or residential properties.
Attorney Robert D. Hemphill is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States District Courts and United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has continuously received the highest rating from his peers in the Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory since 1984. He previously served as adjunct professor of business law at the University of Dallas graduate school and for the Dallas County Community College system.
The firm offers several fee arrangements, including competitive hourly rates, flat fees, contingency (you pay only when proceeds are collected) or a combination of the foregoing. Monthly retainer arrangements are available for general business representation. Most major credit cards are accepted. Although potential representation may be discussed by telephone or e-mail, no attorney-client relationship will be formed without written confirmation from the firm and a signed letter of representation or more formal written agreement and payment of any required retainer deposit.
